Why install solar self-consumption in your business

Generating your own energy is no longer just an environmental decision — it's a profitability decision.

Cut your electricity bill

You generate part or all of your energy, reducing what you buy from the grid and protecting yourself from market price rises.

Energy independence

Less dependence on suppliers and on electricity market price fluctuations.

Reduce CO₂ emissions

Generating your own clean energy contributes directly to your company's sustainability goals.

Increase your property's value

A self-consumption system is an improvement to the building or premises, with an average payback period of 4-7 years.

What our service includes

We handle all five phases of the project, so your business doesn't have to manage any of the technical or administrative process.

Grant application

We identify and process the national and regional grants available for your installation, maximising the subsidy you can access.

Engineering project

We design the installation to your specifications based on your consumption, available surface area and budget, with the optimal sizing of panels and inverters.

Installation

We carry out the installation with quality equipment and specialised technical staff, minimising the impact on your day-to-day activity.

Legalisation

We manage all the permits, registration with the regional authority and the distributor, and the activation of the self-consumption contract.

Maintenance

Periodic inspections and production monitoring to ensure your installation's performance over the long term.

Who do we help?

Industrial warehouses and business parks, farms and livestock operations, offices, homeowners' associations, hotels, shops and sports centres. Custom installations for any roof or land size available.

Frequently asked questions

What businesses ask us most before installing solar self-consumption.

How long does it take for a solar self-consumption installation to pay for itself?

For most businesses and industries, the payback period is between 4 and 7 years, depending on consumption, installed power and grants applied. With support from IDAE and each regional government, the timeframe is reduced considerably.

What grants are available for business solar self-consumption?

There are national grants (IDAE programmes) and regional ones that vary by region and installation type. In the initial study we review which grants apply to your specific case and handle all the paperwork.

Do I need storage batteries for self-consumption?

It's not compulsory. Most business installations work with grid-connected self-consumption and no batteries, which lowers the investment. Batteries are only recommended when your consumption profile or power outages justify them.

How much roof or land space do I need to install solar panels?

It depends on the power you want to install and your business's consumption. In the feasibility study we calculate the available surface area on your roof or land and tell you what power is feasible to install.

Who manages the legalisation of the solar installation?

We do. We take care of the engineering project, the permits, registration with the regional authority and the electricity distributor, and the activation of the self-consumption contract, so you don't have to deal with any paperwork.

What maintenance does a solar self-consumption installation need?

Maintenance is minimal: periodic cleaning and performance checks on the panels and inverters, plus production monitoring to catch any drop in performance early.
